Must-haves for this 285 square foot living space included a generous workspace, dining area to accommodate casual entertaining, tv/lounge area, comfortable sleeping space for overnight guests, storage/display of musical equipment and the addition of hardwired lighting solutions. An existing structural column in the center of the room serves as the backbone for a custom millwork solution that adds architectural interest as well as tons of function – dividing the space into different zones for living, dining and working, as well as allowing for the addition of hardwired light fixtures. Creative custom built-ins combine with a curated blend of high + low, traditional + contemporary furnishings to create a space that is packed with function and interest, yet feels calm, cohesive, and classic.
